What is it?
A Global Survey System monitors employee opinions worldwide, addressing:
- All areas covered in Domestic Employee Attitude Surveys which are appropriate for the country being studied
- Local country concerns
- Interface with corporate headquarters
- Inter-company relations; e.g., cooperation between sister plants in Germany and Spain
- Country cultural factors as they affect the conduct of business
- "I-CORE" - a multinational core of items which permits cross-cultural worldwide comparisons of key matters
Why do it?
International business success often lies in the ability to understand strengths and weaknesses in the countries in which one operates. The complexity of international organizations requires precise, country-by-country analysis of local management and employee perceptions.
When to do it?
Routinely, in order to monitor evolution and change processes.
How does it work?
A random, stratified sample of employees is interviewed. These interviews pinpoint country (as well as company-wide) concerns. Appropriate questionnaires are constructed.
